I've never been a huge Coldplay fan but the lighting in this video is striking. I've heard that their concerts are almost as much about the light show, as the music itself. It is pretty clear that this is the case, as the stage lighting shown in this video is extremely extensive. What we see here are a number of angled stage lights, giving off a yellow aura, appropriately portraying the signature Coldplay song "Yellow." The lights flicker, change color and give off a strong vibe during a song with several highs and lows, strong guitar rifts, and upbeat piano notes; it is the lighting that builds up the song and hypnotizes the audience. I definitely appreciate Coldplay's emphasis on using lighting to create an experience, not just a rock show. The lighting is awesome around 1:04 but the build-up and anticipation is almost as good.
